        It pays to shop around rather than supporting local business. I cashed in my clean brass here and got $2.80 per kilo. A fellow metal detectorist cashed his in at Sims in Christchurch and got $6.00 per kilo (identical clean brass). I assumed the price would vary similar to petrol prices in the area but not by over 100% from another dealer. I went back to Metalman but was unable to reach any sort of compromise

        Made us unload half of the metal we brought before weighing including a heavy galv pipe. Claimed we had too much variety. Said it wasn't worth weighing the light stuff.
