Highly recommended and great value for money. Situated in a beautiful valley close to Mt Cook and Lake Pukaki on a sheep and dairy farm this charming Hostel offers 4 comfortable rooms ($30), a dormitory ($25) and sites for campers. Guest can use the kitchen and living room. Tony is not only a superb host, but also a very well educated and travelled person with fascinating stories to tell. Our favorite place in New Zealand! Nearby activities: Hiking to top of Buscot Hill with scenic views, geological Clay Cliffs, Lakes Ohau/ Benmore/Pukaki, gliding in Omarama, Mount Cook National Park, Fly fishing, mountain biking, Ohau Ski Grounds, Hot Tubs, Salmon Farm, Kayaking, SUP

My second time at this amazing place. Stayed for 3 nights with my girlfriend. The place feels very cozy, away from the road, surrounded by trees, flowers and sheep. Clean and comfortable beds, very affordable prices. Great for stay before or after Mt Cook visits. Tony the host is very welcoming, nice and interesting person, has many interesting stories about nz and about the farm. Super recommended!

Buscot station was so cosy and charming! The place had a great history and the allure of the simple but diligent life was everywhere. Tony was a welcoming host and an engaging storyteller which I adored. I will definitely visit for a longer stay, a nice getaway from day to day life! P.s. The accommodation had character, comfort, and cleanliness.

Tony is absolutely charming, really nice, talkative, with a lot of stories to say and really a lot of knowledge. The house is welcoming (it's more like a B&B than a hostel). The house is deliciously warm and with an astonishing garden. Upstairs with the rooms, bathroom and toilet where clean and tidy. Downstairs where the kitchen (fully furnished) and the dining room, leaving room is quite dirty and messy. No wifi and poor internet connection. The night sleep was soooo quiet, a dream for a good night sleep.
