Survus Consultants - Surveyors, Planners, Engineers

We managed to let them go halfway through our subdivision project. We thought they were at the top of their game according to brochures and online presence. We were sorely disapointed. Very poor performance with time and communication. What was supposed to take a few months took a year and cost us a lot more than indicated. Invoicing was bizarre and haphazard. Very unprofessional dealings with key staff. Stupid excuses like emails being haywire for a month so unable to respond or "it was a technical glitch". Do yourself a favour and spend your hard earned money elsewhere. There are companies out there who will do the job for you for the right price without the drama and circus antics.

We used Survus to help us get consent approval to subdivide our Property & complete the subdivision. Tech issues , staff who didnt know the invoice existed to tell us and the Waimak council being at fault are the excuses we received from survus when requesting answers from them . No ownership Has been taken for making a poor experience for their customers . We chose survus for their expertise and industry knowledge - to pay them to make it easy for us and do everything we needed as we both work full time - but ended up being lied to , made to pay for unnecessary work / reports / people involved that were confirmed not required by the council because survus said the council have different rules and requirements for us vs the customer / contractors making us look incompetent . the consent part was very straightforward, but getting the subdivision complete was awful until we got an independent contractor involved who we had to pay as well . as survus to do the same work as survus continually let us down, who completed everything for us . The final straw was settling on the section - our lawyer contacted them to confirm final invoice details for payment and this was paid . Then 11 days later we get another invoice that is due / apparently generated earlier but due to tech issues staff didnt know it existed - and the amount is more than what a staff member confirmed with us so we had not accounted for this at all . When we continue to ask for answers , we get fobbed off . I would avoid use of This company . You need to be able to trust the people you pay to help you & you dont want to pay for work that isnt actually required .
