If you are looking for a true journey and retreat to reconnect with mind, body and soul; look no further then Shunyata. Every morning I was greeted with a cup of lavender Earl Grey tea and a beautiful fragrant rose picked from the garden. Paru not only nurtured my soul, but nourished my belly with fresh and healthy food. Shes an amazing cook! Everything on my 3-day retreat was rooted with intention and love. Through her decades of experience, training and healing, Paru guided me through 3 days of a beautiful Emotional Healing retreat. I added few extra activities (the aromatouch deep therapy and ayurvedic consult) which I highly recommend as they elevated my experience and kept my afternoons engaged. If i had more time, I would have added the Akaroa excursion with Paru! I left with my heart feeling open, my mind feeling rested and my soul feeling invigorated.

What an amazing slice of paradise! A girlfriend and I both just needed a break and a place to rest and rejuvenate and oh did we find it! Paru completely took care of us all morning, as busy Mamas of little ones, it felt so wonderful to be so looked after ourselves. The essential massage was just perfection! I would highly recommend Paru and her retreat to anyone; and take the ferry over as it feels like a real day away :) Thank you Paru

I feel absolutely blessed to have found wonderful Paru and her haven @ Shunyata, right at a time when I needed both lots of care, and to learn about self-care. From the moment Paru met me on the wharf at Diamond Harbour one afternoon to when I departed that evening, she immersed me with such kindness and genuine desire to use her calling to help me. Having never felt spiritual in any way prior to this experience, there's something magical about Shunyata and Paru, that makes you feel at ease and like anything is possible. I've already booked to go back for a longer retreat - to explore, grow, learn and just be me. If anyone is feeling drawn to Shnuyata - just trust your intuition and go for it - you will be in such caring, wonderful, loving hands.
