Google Maps says that the peak is closed - but it is not - though perhaps the rock climbing is? I started from the Hinewai main entrance and walked up the Summit Track then looped back on the Tara Track. A bit of gorse on the Tara Track but easily passable. Wonderful views over the harbour. a nice bush walk followed by a steep climb. Worth the effort.
