This is the BEST garden I have been to in a long while. The planting is just stunning, and the staff are friendly and knowledgeable. In late spring there were many beautiful rhododendrons, camellias and irises to view, as well as unusual.NZ natives and a very productive vegetable garden. You MUST pay a visit here!!!

Loved the garden and all the wonderful examples of NZ trees and shrubs especially! Thank you to David for teaching me more about the plants of NZ and sharing so much of his time. Wonderful hospitality! Will return here on my next visit to NZ.

Such a beautiful garden. The amount of work gone into the design, plant choice and upkeep is stunning. Truly a national and international treasure. Well done to the master gardener Mr Hobbs. I will add that Mr Hobbs met us and showed us around Broadfields. He outlined some of the gardens history and his plant knowledge was impressive. All I can say is thank you for creating this beautiful place. Definitely plan to return for another visit.
