Nick Penney has been one of the most beneficial people in my world, Nick has helped me to overcome many aspects of my life. He has been pivotal in teaching me mindfulness to help with chronic pain and my mental health. I am happy and delighted to recommend Nick Penney to anyone looking for quality mindful therapy.

We are so grateful for our experience with Dr Nick Penney. Our son suffered extreme pain daily, and after multiple doctors visits, specialist appointments, surgeries and procedures we still had no answers and were referred to the Starship pain team. We knew that an appointment there would not be anytime soon, and we needed help more urgently. Dr Nick responded to my email on the same day, and we had a zoom consultation with him early the next week. He listened and gave us so much reassurance, and came up with a plan for us within a few days. The plan made sense, was holistic (not focussed on medication as the solution), and worked with our GP. We had weekly sessions with Dr Nick focussing on mindfulness - he was always quick to respond to questions and made changes where it made sense. The sessions didnt just help our son, but helped me to be able to help and support him better. About 3.5 months after we started working with Dr Nick, and with a change in diet, we were so thrilled that our sons pain just disappeared one evening and has not returned. We will continue to practice what we have learned through Dr Nick, as mindfulness will continue to be very helpful in navigating life in general, not just life in pain. Thank you Dr Nick for giving us hope, and for all your help and support in our journey.

I am an appreciative patient of Dr Nick Penney who has been instrumental in my rehabilitation and supported me through the toughest and darkest period of my life. I was the victim of a fatal medical misadventure that left me deceased for 15 minutes before an emergency chest opening was carried out to resuscitate me. This catastrophic event resulted in me having to deal with trauma beyond explanation. I was left with a misaligned sternum/chest cavity, broken ribs, both shoulders damaged and including hypoxia from my brain being oxygen deprived for as long as 15 minutes. Needless to say, I am now suffering from PTSD and continuing musculoskeletal pain over and above the deepest depths of depression. Dr Penney has helped and supported me through some significant dark patches where the suicidal ideations I had would have put an end to the pain and suffering I was experiencing. I am happy and proud to say, with the tenacity, support and ongoing care that Dr Penney has bestowed on me, I believe I owe him more than thank you as I attribute my new found desire to continue to live a relatively normal life. Had fate and destiny not delivered me to his professional care, I probably would not have been on the planet today to write this review. I will continue to practice the education I have been taught by Dr Penney who has brought me from the depths of despair to a new found purpose to support other victims of depression and poor states of mental health. I recommend the practice of the Integrative Pain Care model and ideal that will be conducted by Coherenthealth in Christchurch. I wish this new practice every success and may all their patients find the solace and relief I have been fortunate enough to attain.
