A huge thank you to Georgina for the outstanding customer service she provided when my flight out of Timaru was cancelled on the morning of Saturday 12 February. I had to get home to Wellington for a family party that evening and I was desperate to get on the road and catch a flight out of CHCH before the airports closed. Georgina, understanding my predicament, brought the rental vehicle to my hotel with all the papers pre-populated. All I had to do was sign the papers, provide my license details and drive off. She even provided simple instructions on how to find the main road from my accommodation. What's more when I stopped at Ashburton for a coffee and checked my phone, Georgina had sent me a text wishing me a belated birthday (she had noted my birth date on my license) and wished me a safe journey home and a happy party back in Wellington. I work in the field of organisational development, behaviour and culture. Since this amazing experience with Georgina, I have been referring to her as an example of someone who understands how to go the extra mile for a customer and the impact that has! Georgina is a star.
