A wonderland in central Canterbury. Within the Park there are lots of lakes & mountains that offer a wide range of activities & opportunities. Its also named as Edora for the Lord of the Rings. Theres a junction where its divided into two destinations one straight to Edora; & the other on right to Lake Heron. Be prepared to spend a whole day at least to explore both destinations. The phones will be out of signal & the whole Park is on gravel roads

Such beautiful place in winter, surrounded by snow capped mountains. Mirror clear reflection in lakes when weather is blue and calm.
