I've been here for 3 weeks visiting many of the LOTR sights, and Edoras was one of the BEST. I'm very glad we didn't skip it. If you've driven across the gravel road at Lake Mavora, you'll find that this gravel road will be a piece of cake. I wouldn't let the terrain scare you from visiting this marvelous location! Also, it looks like they don't allow tour companies to take you here anymore, and we found it to be perfectly fine coming here on our own!
