I was patient of "doctor" Robert Seddon-Smith. Unfortunately I had a wrong diagnosis from him. He was very but very rude, arrogant, unprofessional and ignorant. He should open a diary rather than a medical centre. He only talk about pies, fries, chocolate etc... I forgot to add in my review that Dr. Seddon-Smith should be in jail. I know important people in Sumner and Hei Hei very upset with his medical "health" Centre. He is a fake doctor who is dedicated to making bad web sites. How you can trust in a doctor that just eat pies and does not do any exercise. Please avoid him because he is not just a bad doctor he is also a horrible person.....

I've been using Sumner Health Centre for a few years now. I find all the staff excellent especially considering how challenging Healthcare has become recently. Appreciate the good service.

I would like to tell you my horrible experience with Seddon-Smith and his medical Centre because I dont want other patients or migrants suffer all the lies and discrimination that I have received form this person and his medical centre. I really want this escalate because is unacceptable that this kind of person practise medicine with not ethic. Here is the summary of my story. On 07 Oct 2021. I had a Punch Biopsy on my cheek with Dr Robert Seddon-Smith because he suggested me that it could be cancer. (It was a very small cyst) I said to him that probably was ingrown hair but he insist me that could be cancer. Dr Seddon Smith told me this was a minor and small procedure without giving me much information. I trusted in him soI had the procedure done with him but unfortunately Dr. Seddon-Smith when was doing the procedure broke more than several of my rights as a patient such as answering the phone 2 times when he was doing the punch biopsy. He also never warned me that he was going to put 4 stiches on my face . At the end of the procedure he looked at me smiling and he said "You look beautiful" when I already had the 4 stiches on my face. He also didn't give me antibiotics and no direction or how long the wound was going to heal. When I went to remove my stitches the nurse of the Sumner Medical Centre couldnt remove them because Seddon-Smith didnt do it properly. Please note that Seddon-Smith disrespected me, he discriminated , he never gave me relevant information etc .After a month of the punch biopsy (very painful) I went to see him because I was not happy with the procedure. He recognised me that he gave me little information of the procedure. He also mentioned that perhaps the scar would be better between 6 months to a year so he also said dont look in a mirror for 6 months. *The punch biopsy result was that I had an ingrown hair I have reported him to HDC so Im still waiting for the HDC resolution. I suggest to Sumner community and the people in ChCh to avoid this doctor and his medical centres . Please note that Seddon-Smith has already issues with bad praxis and not ethic. You can do a research in Google about him and you will find news about him and his super computer in the main newspapers in NZ.

As a repatriated kiwi at the start of Omicron, I needed a doctor who could diagnose and surgically treat a suspected skin cancer lesion that appeared on my face rather suddenly, after some calling around Christchurch, I was directed here and both the reception lady, and the care of "Dr. Robert" were decisive and beyond reproach. Less than a week later, and my procedure is healing well. Back today for suture removal and the biopsy report. Happy and grateful, one doesn't want to waste any time with suspected skin cancers!
