A nice loop walk of some 4.5km according to my phone (instead of the expected 3.3km). It's entirely in the forest apart from a little meadow after a ways up (we went left at the fork) and fantails accompanied us for much of the walk. It took us 1:20h with about 40% in muddy patched. The path looks quite washed out in many places and would benefit from being filled up with wood chips or pebbles / stones.

Beautiful walk, but path needed some attention in parts. Was very muddy when we visited, so took about an hour longer than suggested, but still worthwhile. Saw lots of birds, and enjoyed it. Quite a climb in parts and good footwear essential.

A lovely loop track walk. Lots of native birds to enjoy, fantails, bellbirds, waxeyes and native pigeons. Track was quite muddy in places, but the beauty of nature outweighed the mud. Boots and trousers can be cleaned off later.

read somewhere this track lead to the river, well it was a nice walk and me and my 3 year old son did about half the track and then walked back instead of doing the loop, check the track later that day and realised it was no where near the river but a nice walk with a steep incline at the start and lots of dense bush coverage
