Tipapa Estate

The idyllic tranquility of Tipapa Estate was the perfect place to start our South Island holiday. We had a lovely sunny top floor room overlooking a pleasant garden and were totally spoilt by our wonderful hostess Jane. Tipapa Estate is perfectly located, literally a 2 minute drive to the Greta Valley Tavern which serves top class meals and is an easy drive to the Waipara Valley wineries. Only an hour north of Christchurch we put Tipapa in the highly recommended category.

Tipapa is a beautiful Homestead in a gorgeous setting. We stayed 3 nights over the Easter weekend, and it was a perfect place to relax and unwind. Our room was immaculately presented and the living areas were welcoming, warm and comfortable. Stuart and Jane are wonderful hosts and the home made breads at breakfast delicious, as were all the meals that we enjoyed whilst at Tipapa. Hope to return soon.

Everything is lovingly and individually furnished and super clean. The breakfast was very special, with homemade jams and bread. A fine selection of cold cuts. (Original) Nach mehreren Wochen im Camper haben wir uns extra ein besonders schnes B&B gesucht und auch gefunden: die Lage des B&B ldt zum Herunterkommen ein, es ist fantastisch ruhig und man fhlt sich direkt so wohl! Alles ist liebevoll und individuell eingerichtet und super sauber. Ganz besonders war das Frhstck, wo es selbstgemachte Marmeladen und Brot gab. Dazu eine feine Auswahl an Aufschnitt. Wir wren so gerne lnger geblieben! Danke!

This is the most amazing grand old Homestead in the Greta Valley, about an hour from Christchurch. Our room was huge with a view over the beautiful gardens and lawn and the King Bed was extra comfortable. Stewart and Jane were excellent hosts who provided us with historic background of the house and we enjoyed a cheese platter and wine on the balcony overlooking the spacious grounds. The 2 GP dogs were a bonus!!! We had dinner at the Greta Valley Tavern which is only a couple of minutes drive away. Food was great and good value. The wineries at Waipara are a short drive away. Motunau about 15 minutes drive. This is a beautiful property to stay on your way to or from Christchurch. We would stay again and will be recommending to our friends.
