Just arrived but it looks a great place to stop. Clean and tidy Reasonable pricing.

Owners were friendly, sites were nice however the facilities are dated and some basic things have been overlooked there was no rubbish bin in the kitchen, dirty tea towels and cloths, only one plug for 4 sinks, the hot water was intermittent in the kitchen and in one shower my daughter was scolded as it didnt have any cold there was no sign to say it was broken, and the toilets and kitchen didnt appear to have regular cleaning. Note. Boil water notice still in place as at Feb 23. If you are going to Motanau this is a good spot as the beach on sandy bay road is not a far drive away, if you are not sure how to get to it ask the owner of the camp.

Budget accommodation exceeded expectations, a comfortable cabin, clean facitys, and very nice hosts who go the extra mile! Food at the adjacent Greta Yavern was great.

What a lovely campground and such a short drive from Christchurch. We were lucky to pretty much have the place to ourselves for 3 nights with our dog. Clean amenities and the lower terrace was sheltered from the Nor West. Yes, there is a bit of road noise from trucks going past on the main road, but we noticed it was a lot quieter over the weekend compared to week days. Powered site with rubbish & recycling available as well as water and a dump station. We enjoyed our stay.
