Dealing with them was a bit odd. Because my job is under 40sq metres I have chosen to draw up my own plans and pay 95 dollars to council for a building consent exemption. No builder required. Edited after reading the response to my review... The response to my review is uncalled for, it would have been better for them to admit that they took a very long time to provide me with a measure and quote. They lost the measurements taken at my property and could not complete the quote. They left me hanging for a couple of months. I visited their office 3+ times before they did another measure and quote. Then they wanted me to pay all money up front. Because there was no contract I would only pay for the materials up front, the labour I would pay for on completion of the job. Their policies didn't allow for that so I didn't accept the quote.

So unfortunate to have to leave a bad review, but disappointing. So happy with initial contact, had to pay deposit in order to get plans to submit to council, no problem. However, 2 years of fighting local council, including involving ombudsman, resulted in stonewalling and no release of permit. Out of our hands completely, not a change of mind situation at all. However, on approaching Sheds4u weve been told that the whole deposit (over 5k) went on the plans. A bit of a Catch 22, but way out of our hands. Really disappointed with the lack of understanding and compassion in our situation from Sheds4U, and being in the contruction industry, thats a high price for shed plans alone. Sorry. Not happy. Wish it could have been different.
