Toru Restaurant

We were at Toru restaurant for a company dinner. (We do this every year.) I like the students and we believe that it is important to give them a chance. But tonight, we realised that the management is not up to the level of these students integrity and quality. They made some very poor decisions during the service of our food, that caused one person not to be able to eat their dinner at all. (They brought her a steak, then they realised that was the steak that needed to go to our boss -it was bigger in size and perfect in presentation- the manager lady came up with a bad excuse, they took the girl's steak away, gave it to our boss, made the girl wait for about 20 minutes. We had finished our main meals by then. The girl was very polite, asked them to just pack her meal, and she was just able to eat her dessert. ) None of this can be blamed on the students. (Well, the waitress brought the steak to the wrong end of the table.) The error in judgement was taking it from her at that point. Because everybody saw and realised what was happening. Very bad taste. With a managing person like this, what exactly do you think those hospitality workers will learn?...

Always love coming to the student restaurant. Good value for money and its good experience for the students. The food is always lovely.
