Gisborne VetEnt has the highest quality vets I've met in all of my years of owning pets. Dr. Maarten from Holland diagnosed our dog's mutant form of epilepsy by speaking with a colleague in Napier. We went to Massey University for a diagnostic workup for Pepper unnecessarily because Maarten had already differientially diagnosed the problem. He developed a continuous plan of care for Pepe over the years. She developed a tumor in her eye, and he referred us to an eye specialist. She had hurt her back leg when she was a puppy, and he operated on that. He extended her life and maximized her quality of life. She had to be put down last June due to renal failure. Doc Maarten was there with us the entire time. Pepe lived until she was 12.6 years old. It was a miracle. He and his wife, Esther, also treated Lucy and Le Chat, the cat. When Le Chat had to be put down last year at 18 years old, Esther was so gentle and caring with her and with us. Now little Lucy at almost 14 is getting sick and both vets have been treating her. They are both "top gun" vets. The Staff is terrific: helpful, caring, efficient ,kind. They will always find a slot for a vet to see one of our pets as they did today because Lucy had an Upper Respiratory Infection again for the 2nd time in 1.5 months. I can't recommend VetEnt highly enough. I'll always take my pets there and have recommended the practice to friends.
