Must see for anyone wanting to learn more about Mori history in the Gisborne region. For those who commented saying they wished they had a guide, please pay a visit to Zan (the lady with the cowboy hat) at the Gisborne library just over the bridge. She knows the history and volunteers on some days.

Having looked in on Monday to see that it was closed, the sign says that it would be open on Tuesday 12 - 3pm. Called in on Tuesday to still find it closed. Very disappointed!

The story's you will hear when you enter this place, make me fell very honoured. Because this is the ONLY place in the world that shows the history of how maori paid the price of citizenship here on there own land and working on a partnership with the crown of Britain.
