Breathtaking views from the top but dont underestimate the incline. Firstly getting there: Google Maps is wrong; the car park is at the end of Shelley Road and not Dryden St. Shelley Rd is unsealed and only wide enough for 1 car so take care. I did the anti-clockwise loop and took 2 hours. Would rather the clockwise loop though because the steepest part was at least under tree shade. The rest of the walk was open farmland mountain side with long stretches of open area. Lots of muddy slippery patches even though it hadnt rained in days. Google Maps shows an incorrect path alignment; follow the yellow markers along the trail for the correct one. Too many confusing crossing paths with very little wayfinding signs

Please attention If you use Google Map it will lead you to Dryden st, this is wrong address. The entrance of the walkway is in the end of Shelley road passing through a short gravel road without showing on Google Map.

The climb was well worth it with awesome views overlooking Tairawhiti and Young Nicks Head.
