        Don't miss this. Designed and brought into being by the early 20th C political and cultural giant and statesman Sir Apirana Ngata, who also had strong links with the 28th Mori Battalion in WW2.

        What a jewel in East Cape's Crown! Well looked after on the outside and STUNNING on the inside. The religious purpose of the building is beautifully enhanced by the Maori culture and decorations. There is also a memorial set up on the hill beside it but we couldn't see how to access it. Definitely worth a visit.
