The staff looked after our dad with dignity and care. They made my whole family even the grandchildren feel comfortable nd welcomed when visiting our dad. The food.is.fantastic, they are definitely well fed. The staff are absolutely wonderful and want to.give special regards to Venice dad's main carer and to the Director Donna. Donna you are such a respectful and beautiful person showing kindness and compassion and very understanding . You always had time to listen to.our feedback. We thanku to u and your team at Colwyn for.a job well.done and everything you have done for our beautiful dad.

My wife was was in this place for a few months in 2019, Great staff well looked after, but then suffered a fall had xrays they thought she had fractured her hip, but just badly bruised and in pain ,Nurse used to say oh we are waiting to hear from the doctor so we can give her extra painkillers but after speaking to Doctor he said she wasn't in pain, so 2 different story's,and it was never resolved and sadly my wife passed away just before Xmas 2019 I blame the management should and could have done more Was quite upset about it all am still are,to find out what was going on,Not happy about it but as I said staff were great

I have no complaints about the care of my wife who has Dementia but the manager has a lot to learn about diplomacy. This is why my wife has been in day care for 6 months and because of Covert 19 this closed the Hasting DHB have made me put her into Long-Term Residential Care filled out the form for Colwyn House in front of manager. After doing so he said now you need a form for WINS support payment when asked if had one he said no so I spent two day of my work time chasing this up WINS did not no sent me to NASC they sent me back to WINS they then put me on to Telephone Number where it was sorted they sent him form then i ask for written invoice of how much it would cost me he got up tight and would supply me with one he was arrogant when my daughter went into see about it and he walk off and left her standing there with no invoice. Pulled my wife out of Colwyn House until get some thing in writing.
