SS Homes

We had the land but could not find the right design to fit our site, after looking for over six months we came across SS Homes. From the moment we sat down with Jason we new we had found the design and the builder to make our dream home. Jason gave us confidence to take on what was our first building project and from design to completion we did not have one sleepless night. We are very happy in our new home.

After one year of designing process by SS Homes, the work on our site began in 2020 and we were supposed to move into it in April 2021 as per our contract, but its Feb 2023 and the house is still not completed. By the time it will finish, itd be 23 months delay! We have been under tremendous stress due to mortgages rates climbing up and using all our savings to keep up with the delays. I wouldnt recommend SS Homes due to unjustifiable delays and for not accepting responsibility. Ill update when the house is finished. Service: Home building

We chose Jason at SS Homes because he came to us highly recommended and we LOVED the look of his previous builds. Jason was very patient with us during the design process and was able to make any changes we needed. He was very knowledgeable about a range of products and made good recommendations. Jason kept us updated during the build process and the build was fully completed on time. We are so happy with our new home and can't recommend Jason highly enough. Service: Design

Rowe and Tracey We had a great experience right from the outset with Jason from SS Homes. We had built many times before yet the experience we had with SS Homes was the best we had to date. We wanted something small and different and thats what we received. We have been in our home for 3 years and we still love it and it has performed very well.

Newland: McLaren Cres I have been in my home now for 3 years: I was referred to SS Homes by a friend who had his home built with SS Homes: Building a home was not on my check list at that time: I had shopped around looking at different exiting houses though many of the houses I saw did not tick the boxes for me. I met with Jason and planning commenced: My design of home was to accommodate my whnau, my children, my mokopuna of all different ages and my extended whnau. My priority was at that time that our home would allow us to live together and at the same time have comfortable space for all whnau: I did not want a simple home, I wanted a home with character, meaning shapes and design was important to me: Such as the ceilings having different shapes and angles, the veranda to have a marae appearance, a whnau room that could be used for all occasions, the combination of timber and brick was suggested which looks great and I have had others comment on the design: The hot water system to be generated by a sunlight which has been a great way to keep the power account to a minimal. My experience of having my home built had many challenges as this was my first experience to the business of building a house, my insight to the language and terms in regard to building materials and the procedures was somewhat foreign to me: I was able to contact Jason to query any concerns I had which was promptly explained and clarified for me.
