Rooms: Each room is individually styled. Our particular room was the Turkish-themed room and we loved it. Nearby activities: There lots of stuff going off on the sea front, including a great ice-cream parlour, and plenty to see in town. Walkability: Easy walk to just about anywhere in town and along the sea front. Food & drinks: Hotel breakfast, continental style, us good whilst nearby and in town there's a wide variety of eateries to choose from (especially Vinci's and Deliroasts)

(Translated by Google) Shortly before my planned stay at Seabreeze B&B, a severe tropical storm (Cyclone Gabrielle) was announced for the town of Napier. After asking the host for a partial refund in the event of a no-show, I was rebuffed with the statement "God's will is not covered by our policies." He also declared Napier 'safe' the day before the cyclone, at my concerned request. The severe damage (flooding, power outages) caused by the natural disaster in Hawke's Bay showed that my concern was justified. I would have liked to support the host with part of the amount already paid to compensate for the loss of visitors and any damage caused by the storm. However, I would have found a proportionate refund quite appropriate and would have been annoyed at the negligence in asking us to go to the crisis zone. (Original) Kurz vor meinem geplanten Aufenthalt im Seabreeze B&B wurde fr den Ort Napier ein schwerer Tropensturm (Zyklon Gabrielle) angekndigt. Nachdem ich den Gastgeber fr den Fall, dass eine Anreise nicht mglich wrde, nach einer Teilerstattung gefragt hatte, wurde ich mit der Aussage Gottes Willen wird nicht von unseren Richtlinien abgedeckt zurckgewiesen. Auerdem wies er Napier einen Tag vor dem Zyklon auf meine besorgte Anfrage als sicher aus. Dass meine Sorge durchaus berechtigt war, zeigten die schweren Schden (berschwemmungen, Stromausflle), die die Naturkatastrophe in Hawkes Bay anrichtete. Ich htte den Gastgeber gern mit einem Teil der bereits bezahlten Summe zur Kompensation der Besucherverluste und eventueller Schden durch den Sturm untersttzt. Eine anteilige Erstattung htte ich aber durchaus angemessen gefunden und mich ber Fahrlssigkeit, uns in die Krisenzone zu bitten, gergert.
