        Dukes was Very quiet when we were the only table dining there a November 2021 Saturday night. Nine of us. Restaurant walled off from the bar. Menu not far different from the takeaway menu. Burgers, steak, pan fried fish. Steak was rare, when all had asked for medium rare. Whitebait fritters were on the blackboard, and were nice. Locals told us meals are highly variable with changing cooks. Highly informal service is typical for parongahau, but goes with the delightful territory. Enjoyed it.
