        Because of a glowing recommendation from a friend, our three night stay at Hawthorne House came with big expectations. It turned out to be one of those happy occasions where expectations were surpassed. Our room was gorgeous, as was the entire inn. Peter and Paul had us at Hello. They were great fun to sip wine with and engage with over their wonderful breakfasts. They were also a great source of information for local dining and wine tours. Bonuswe got to participate with them in a Hawkes Bay promotional video that was shot at the Inn during our stay. Hated to leave.

        We had the best time in Hawthorne House, especially due to the care Peter and Paul gave us, lovely afternoon drinks, comfy rooms and beds, delicious breakfast and lots of conversation, tips where to go, making diner reservations for us etcetera. And having a lot of laughs. Definitely will go back if possible. Lots of love Ruud & Nancy
