The Greendale Tamatea Scout Group is impressively organised, with varied and engaging activities on offer for young people. The leaders are genuinely exceptional. For our young son, belonging to our local Scout Group provides an opportunity to forge friendships beyond his school community. He contributes to a collective effort, outside of a sports team. His creative side is nurtured through craft/construction, problem solving and other interactive activities. He sets goals and works towards earning badges. He learns the value of community service, and of caring for the environment. He has opportunity to attend both traditional camps, as well as other speciality events. He will have opportunities to lead and mentor as he gets older. He stands proudly alongside uniformed services on ANZAC Day. If you have a son or daughter aged 5-18, then I'd definitely recommend checking out Greendale Tamatea Scout Group.
