        We got a leaflet from the Information centre about gardens in the area and decided to visit. No one was home. We couldn't find a human being anywhere so we looked for the advertised acres of garden. We found a very average garden around the house and overgrown bush. Very underwhelming and we wished we hadn't bothered going there. The property is on the market so maybe nobody cares. The information centre staff are not aware of garden places and were obviously new to the area with no background of knowledge of the Hawkes Bay.
