Be aware that some of the trees they sell were matured in a field and then dug up and put in the black bags just a short while ago. I purchased a tree almost 3m tall and when I opened the bag to plant it the 2x roots stubs were only 75mm long with no fine roots all all. The tree obviously died. A waste of $75. When buying I suggest kicking the soil. If it is loose do not buy. Very disappointed that they put stuff like this out there for people to buy without cutting back or hardening it first. They have a great range of products available so that's a positive, but I don't like the way there are no price tags on anything. It makes for an embarrassing confrontation at the till since they don't give you an itemised receipt. They tricked me into paying $80 for a mandarin tree which is more than double the price at Mitre10.

I ordered plants last month and they arrived in a shocking state, dried out, root bound and more than half dead. Have tried several times to get a partial refund and basically been ignored. If you are going to shop here please know that if your plants arrive in substandard condition then you will be disappointed with the response from owners

Excellent prompt service, the protea plant came well wrapped and is healthy, tall and even has a flower at the very top - beautiful...wasn't expecting that!

I recently ordered a Fiejoa plant from Greenleaf nurseries forgetting that the Napier to Gisborne (my base) was closed due to storm damage. The courier had to take a long detour but the plant arrived five days later beautifully wrapped and fresh as just packed. Peter Lewis. Gisborne
