One of the best walks and lookouts in the area. A lot of the tracks and walks in the area have been closed by the local management. This is a great shame to the legacies of people who wanted the park and walks to be visited and enjoyed by everyone. Track is not maintained, but still fairly clear. Lots of rock formations and caves to explore. Rip Lou, you legend.

Very small car park area, walk starts off across from car park its all uphill through covered walkway with a few caves and big rocks to go under/through and or around. The view is spectacular when you reach the lookout platform IG_leon_04

Really recommend this short walk up to Lous Lookout. It's a bit of a puff uphill, but it's really quick and before you know it you are presented with the most amazing views over Lake Waikaremoana and Te Urewera. Can get super windy at the top, which kind of adds to the drama. Small gravel park beside the road opposite the track entrance. Only a 10min drive or so from the Lake Waikaremoana Campground.

Absolutely beautiful spot. Amazing views and nice bush walk upto the lookout. Not much parking space down off the road.

Beautiful & wonderful view point. Shaddy all the way. Steep at some places, worth visiting the location.
