        BIRD COTTAGE IS LOVELY. IT HAS VERY WARM COMFORTABLE BEDS - EVEN FLANNELETTE SHEETS. THE WHOLE PLACE WAS TASTEFULLY DECORATED - THERE WERE LOTS OF MAGAZINES TO READ AND A GOOD SUPPLY OF BOARD GAMES. KEVIN - THE HOST AND HIS WIFE - WERE VERY FRIENDLY AND COULDN'T DO ENOUGH FOR US. WE THOROUGHLY RECOMMEND IT AND WILL BE BACK TO STAY AGAIN, JEANETTE CHRISTCHUIRCH.

        As my home wasn't ideal for a doing a large work Zoom video conference, I booked to stay here for the event. The hosts made their beautiful guests lounge available to me to use for 3 hours for this. The fire made the room cosy and it also provided a lovely backdrop for my Zoom. In a previous life, Bird Cottage had been the old Martinborough Schoolhouse. This was transported to this lovely spot and has been fully refurbished with a modern decor and with all amenities provided for. Spacious rooms and rural views made for a very relaxing stay. I felt so at home I didn't want to leave so I stayed an extra night even though my home was just around the corner The accommodation is 10 minutes walk from the city centre and is surrounded by trees and farmland. The hosts are warm, friendly and very helpful.
