Best chippy so far (out of 50-100) So we have had fish and chips from northland to bluff, and this is the best yet. Not gourmet, just simple chippy food (burgers and hoki etc), but its amazing. The batter is crisp and light, the chips perfectly crunchy, and the burger is the first chippy burger yet to use home made smashed mince patties. Try the giant burger, its well worth the extra couple of dollars. Only thing to bear in mind is that the servings of chips are suitable for one person. Some chippies give you a huge pile of chips, but this one just gives you an adequate serve for a snack for two or one hungry person. Theyre perfect chips though, so its well worth it! This place doesnt look like much, and I didnt have high hopes, but anytime Im back in whanganui Ill make the detour to come here again.

If I could give 10 stars I would! The burgers are the best chippy burgers I have ever had. I have had my fare share. The meat patties are actually fresh and made by the shop not horrible frozen patties. I actually had lunch and dinner here because I was so impressed. The chips were cooked to perfection, not a lot for the cost but they are great. The hoki fish batter is the best batter I have come across really nice and crispy. 10/10

The fish were half the size of my palm, with batter to.bulk the fish out. Three scoopes.of chips looked 1 and a 1/2 scoop of chips. Two chicken.nugget was bout the size of a fish stiil hungry
