        Worst experience with this particular branch. Car dirty and not at like the car requested. They put a hold on $1400 from my account when I picked up the car but when I returned the car at the end of the contract they took a further $1200. This caused a real money problem for me on my holiday as that $1400 was not released until I returned to Australia 3 weeks later and spoke to my bank. I tried multiple times to contact a variety of numbers for Hertz but it would always ring out. I would not say all branches are as bad as the one at Palmerston. North but it has left a very bitter taste on my mouth and would be reluctant to use them again.

        Showed up at their place outside the airport thinking that was the drop-off point- they laughed it off and drove us the rest of the way and dropped off the car for us! Wonderful friendly service.
