Motel in Decline. Large room but unprepared for guests, un-aired, musty, holes in the walls, no soap etc. Completely un loved. Noisy on the main road. Rooms: An old motel in decline

Beautiful whanau Simple accommodation with everything I needed and pet friendly with no discrimination of size or breed of my kuri and the price was within my budget and got more than expected was totally blown away After been to 2 motels that day who were supposedly pet friendly had 1 motel owner who saw my kuri and said nope they wont take us and another motel owner telling me she would have to sleep in the car Highly recommend Ploughman motel yes there is traffic noise but hey who cares when the manager is happy to cater to your needs within reason Love this place and I will definitely be back along with spreading the word

ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE! PLEASE DO NOT GO HERE!!! This will by far have to be the worst review I have ever had to give. I have stayed at places all over the world and this was the worst experience I have ever had. Absolutely disgusting customer service if that's what you want to call it. I would give this place 0 stars if I could. Checked online for availability but before booking I thought I would ring them first as other reviews say they were hard to get hold of on the phone and at the office. No answer or option to even leave a message and voicemail was full so decided to go there in person to book. When arrived there was no available parks, all rooms looked empty and sign said there was vacancy. Office was up steep stairs so definitely not good for people with mobility disabilities. Seen there was a sign on the door to ring bell if office was unattended but door was unlocked so went in where they had another bell to ring which I did. Noone responded so I went outside to press the bell for a extremely rough looking Maori women to stick her head round the corner of office and say "yea what"? I asked very politely if she had any rooms available. She very quickly and rudly replied with no we are full and started walking off. As this was the only motel available in the area I proceeded to say that online showed they had plenty of availability for her to reply angrily "well you should of booked online then" and pretty much slammed the door in my face. Never in my life have I come across such disgusting behavior from a motel. I also felt some racism towards me as I am European. I have read other reviews which have also experienced the same. Clearly they are in the wrong business. SHUT YOUR DOORS AND CALL IT A DAY! ABSOLUTELY DISCUSTED...
