We first went to Waihi Falls and then travelled 29km on gravel road to reach Pipinui Falls. Like others we were disappointed because the waterfall was covered with stubs and trees. It is not well maintained. However, when we tried to look at the waterfall, it seemed like there is a pool on the first fall and then water fell over. We thought about going to the property on the other side but we did not. There is a small space to park your car. There is a bench where you can relax and watch the waterfalls ...

Easy to find, great roads, good parking. Access is a breeze right up to viewing platform. If you want great images, try carefully walking up the stream to the boulders at the base of the falls. Highly recommend

Short 2 min walk to waterfall, which was covered pretty decently by bush, and therefore hard to see.
