Dudding Lake Motorcamp & Picnic Park

This is an excellent low-cost campground with a noticeable uplift in presentation since my last visit a year ago. It is family-focused, with a kid's playground, huge grass areas, wooden seats, and places to hang out. You can opt for power if required and camp closer to the facilities, or like us and Olli (dog) being fully self-contained, camped at the lake's northern end. The lake is a beautiful view with a casual 45mins walk around the edge, including plenty of bird-watching opportunities. Bear in mind this lake accommodates powered water sports, kayaks, and a swimming area. We visited during the week, and apart from a couple of jet skis, which we ended up watching; it was otherwise quiet. The facilities, although oldish, were clean, tidy and well-maintained. The staff were friendly, and I had a couple of great chats with Lance, who explained their journey over the past 6 months to slowly uplift the presentation of the park. Excellent value for money, and is one of my stop overs when travelling in this area.

We only spent one night in a non-powered site. We really liked the campsite, it is a family site with a very nice lake to walk. The facilities are clean and in good condition. The owner was very friendly. :)
