Rock climbing was a disaster. It was very unsafe and dangerous especially handling the rope. The ropes gave me burns and no gloves were supplied. Walls were half broken and was what I paid for.

Walked in staff didnt tell us about the weight and stuff and I am 50 kg my friend is 75 he was very high up and the weight when he dropped I didnt have any control over him because the staff didnt explain it and talk to us about it she was very unprofessional and my mate fell off the climbing wall hurt his back and the staff didnt do anything about him my mate is now concussed the minute I walked in the place smelled very poor the bathroom was disgusting and placed right next to the kitchen

We booked 4 people on BOOKIT, and web says the end time is 4pm, whilst stuff onsite say the only one shuttle that can pick up us is at 12:30pm. We recommend people'd better call them in advance to make sure everything is what it is, whilst in Ohakune there are more routes, more shuttles and better bicycle.

We purchased the $25 Tongariro Alpine Crossing return shuttle deal from GrabOne and can't recommend My Kiwi Adventure highly enough. We got a call a day before to see if we'd like to leave at an earlier time to avoid potential shower in the afternoon. When we couldn't make it to the agreed time on the day, My Kiwi Adventure went above and beyond to sort out the ride for us. Not only that, they provided us with a card that outlined the estimated timeline of the hike, and said to let them know when we are 2hrs away from completion so they can be there for us. Definitely be mindful and stick to their usual time table though--- We were just extremely lucky being the only two customers of the day. (Due to Covid plus now is not the peak season for Tongariro yet) Once again, many thanks to the team at My Kiwi Adventure for being so kind and accommodating. We will definitely be back for another adventure!
