Rocky Mountain Chalets

Having travelled in north island for a week and this is the best local property we have stayed so far. - Clean and spacious. Room are warm and comfortable. - Good Wifi - Carrot park is just the next door + quite a few good restaurants in the town. - Kitchen and Washing Machine - free to use~~ Overall a very pleasent place to stay for the road trip. Love it.

Came here to stay while in Ohakune for the night. When we arrived here there was no one at check-in so we had to call them and it took them 20 minutes to arrive so we could be checked in. The staff at check-in were also rude. Once we got to our room it was clean and tidy however this deffintley is not 5 star accommodation as they claim and i found it to be very overated. The room also lacked basic amenities such as shampoo and fresh milk. Another issue was that the wifi in the unit was also very slow and was not up to today's standards. Also the carport attached to these units is completely useless as it is way to narrow and half of it is blocked by a set of steps. Overall I will not stay here again and I would not recomend it.
