        Amazing home stay and worth the trip. We made this trip up from New Plymouth to Kakahi just to stay at Rua Awa Lodge and it didnt disappoint. From the moment we arrived until we left we felt relaxed and absolutely loved our stay here. Super clean, very comfortable and the breakfast was not only delicious but also homemade and sustainable. The river walk was super accessible and beautiful. Sheryl and Warren are great hosts. Cant wait to tell all our friends about this secret spot.

        A truly magical place! We stayed after completing a chilly Tongariro Northern Circuit and this place was the best balm for the soul and body. Sheryl and Warren provide such thoughtful touches as well as amazing food, all sourced, grown or made by them...very impressive! Rua Awa has such a sense of belonging, at the same time as providing an escape from the busyness of modern life. It's a VERY special and charming place and we will be back later in the year to recharge and relax.
