The guy was nice enough in-person, but I came in asking for a replacement set of baffle bricks for my Kent fireplace. He saw the model I had and ordered the bricks saying all was well and good. When the order came in and the price was revealed, it was astronomical. It seemed odd, but I paid anyway, got a receipt and headed home. When I opened the packages that afternoon, I realised he'd ordered (without my knowledge) an entirely new baffle insert and TWO sets of bricks. I'd only asked for a single set of bricks (about $160 online). Checked my receipt, saw his mistake and phoned up, but he said he wouldn't take them back. I realise they were specially ordered, but they weren't what I asked for. He wouldn't back down and said, "You'll just have another baffle and a bonus set of bricks for one day when you need it." That was it. Instead of eating his mistake, I'm now stuck with an un-needed baffle, an extra set of bricks and over $500 out of pocket. That's pretty rubbish in terms of customer service. Had I seen and approved the order, I'd claim my mistake. However, I took him at his word that he knew what he was talking about and was ordering baffle bricks and nothing more. Needless to say, I won't be returning.
