        It took my bf and me around 2 hours to complete the loop track. There are not too many stairs, and the waterfall is very nice. On one way, there is a decent amount of tree cover, but the other has little to no shelter from the wind, rain and sun, so prepare accordingly depending on the weather. Don't miss out on the opportunity to stand underneath the waterfall! Parking: Simple and small parking that was full when we went on a sunday.

        Great walk if you're visiting Ohakune, not far up the Mountain Rd, parking at the trail head. 30min walk to the falls if you're a regular walker. Some steep climbs that may be challenging for young kids. Great views at the falls and lovely scenery along the way with some cracking views of the mountain.
