        Beautiful walk here. It is nice as you don't need to climb to many hills to get there. The lake is really beautiful. I definitely recommend carrying on further to reach the upper tama lake aswell but either way you get to see a really beautiful lake. Went on a sunny day which meant it looked really nice and blue. The view from here is really nice and amazing to see all the mountains. Definitely recommend of you don't want to do the whole tongariro crossing.
