        Beautiful historic Church with services . Every 2nd Sunday of month. 11am...2020 Floral Art Group Whanganui Heritage month...really enjoyed the flower displays.. beautiful. ..

        Spring time at St Marys Upokongaro: an absolute treat. Lovey flowers in bloom, a mature garden surrounding the church and the all the paint and gear youd need to repaint close by, evidence the building is still well loved and looked after. Nestled in next to a little primary school, not far from Whanganui proper. Its easy to imagine why youd try to make a small settlement here next to the Whanganui river. Its picturesque.
