        We are from Lower Hutt and come up to Havelock North several times a year as we love the whole area. We often spend a day or two sitting on our deck chairs at this lovely reserve, observing the birds, the waves, and chatting to the odd person fishing or walking along the beach. Lovely clean toilets. It's a great place to spend some "chill out" time. Thank you to the Council who maintain it and the toilets really well.

        Fabulous free camping spot right in beach front with cycle trail, Haney colony tours and winerys a few minutes away. Nice clean facilities and room for picnics. Turn up early in the day as it does get busy.
