Arrived by boat for lunch. In the interests of human preservation, the food was way below par! The battered fish was akin to something you would use to scub the bottom of a boat. Disappointing as the staff were pleasant whilst having to work in a tired fascility Food & drinks: Poor

Common areas looks worn out and can do with some regular maintenance. Food in restaurant is very average compared to other hotels in areas but it's as expensive. Management threw a big party in hotel's restaurant for all; but mostly for the locals (Yacht Club people) who were very noisy outside and kept the main clientele:Queen Charlotte track hikers awake until 3am. Disappointed

We arrived not expecting much due to so many bad reviews. Staff were enthusiastic and competent. Rooms clean and spacious. The drawback is the fixed price $60 per head dinner. No other option. Food offer was basic. We witnessed staff eating pizzas and it begs the question why this was not an option for guests?

We stayed for a night at the Pordage as part of the Queen Charlotte hike. We had had good experiences in prior nights at our lodges and were expecting likewise high quality accommodation, wine list and food. Despite a spectacular setting, this place is tired and poorly run. Particularly disappointing was the food - breakfast, set menu dinner and packed lunch was borderline inedible. Stay somewhere else on the trail if you can and definitely dont stay here for your rest day. Walkability: Logical stop on the Queen Charlotte hike
