Tawa Saddle is named for the Tawa forest in the bay area below this spot. Those who start the Queen Charlotte track from Ship Cove, usually stop here to have lunch and carry on. Its a beautiful place to stop by, have some snacks, click photos, and carry on. There are two public rest rooms here. The smart Weka bird hangs around this place knowing it will get some food from the hikers! :) Enjoy your hike! :)
