Renwick Medical Centre

Went in for a referral to another hospital as I did not want to be dealing with Wairau Hospital any longer for an upcoming second surgery. Was told by the doctor that the surgeon I was seeing was a great guy. As if her personal relationship with him has anything to do with it. Refused me the referral after almost begging for it, and near pushed me out the door as she was giddily saying its home time. Even though she was 30 minutes late for our appointment. The surgeon then told me I can be referred anywhere I want, but it needs to be done by my doctor. She did not care at all. There was zero reason for her to refuse me that referral apart from pure selfish, power tripping reasons. Unprofessional and apathetic. Made a tough situation even more stressful.

Tried phoning all day but only out of office and this does not allow you to leave a message, i then investigated health system, thats the same, unable to leave a message ... not a good system

Family member Had a appointment today with new doctor so he can discuss his blood test... after some paper work was completed and a chat (no discussion of blood test ) doctor said your 15 minutes is up next time you will have to book a double appointment. After 2 years having back pain and no one can resolve the issue and being told thats it - next appointment ( is that good enough?)..... this is contributing to the reason we dont finalise any conclusions of the matter.. bare the pain - cant work- just keep paying for appointments etc...

What a great medical centre. They really go above and beyond! Always take their time with you and listen to your needs. Couldn't be happier :)
