        Returned with family who had stayed previously. Friendly helpful owners. Amenities and room very clean. Kids were a bit disappointed eddy had gone off to hibernate but still a great family friendly place to stay. Recommend. Rooms: Very clean and comfortable

        Not sure what you are actually paying for here, it's definitely not for sleep. $45 for unpowered site doesn't include showers or wifi, they are extra. Right on the main road, and the trucks do not stop all night! Wedged between permanent residents (and they are not considerate of their neighbours and don't quieten after 10pm, no matter how many signs you put around the campground) on a small patch of grass. This is in my top 2 worst campgrounds in our 3 months touring NZ, Gore is still the worst.
