Rooms: The rooms upstairs that overlook the mountain have a balcony that overlooks the mountain...very relaxing of an evening Walkability: The start (or end) of the Queen Charlotte Sound track is only 150m away!

Already booking the place I could feel the warm in and welcoming tone. As I arrived a little late because of a long bike ride from Punga Cove , the host Debbie was more than friendly. Excusing that they had to go out but taking her time for me and not missing to give me any information on facilities. The spa was great after a long day on the track! I can't believe it is included at that cheap price. And a pizza (fresh-frosen) you just cook in the oven. Yummy! Nice after a good day of exercise. CDs for music in the kitchen and DVDs to borrow for the common room. I could have stayed there much longer. Next day while waiting for the afternoon boat, I went in one of the kayaks. Again super nice and great service. Can't believe it was all included! I was also lucky to be the only one in the lodge so kayaks were available. All in all: Big recommendations for Debby and Darrell - stay another night in Anakiwa before you go back to Picton. Tip: remember to put Anakiwa Lodge and not just Anakiwa on your bag if you have it transferred. Then the boat know not just to leave it on the jetty

My partner and I had a wonderful stay at Anakiwa Lodge. Such lovely homely accommodation! Great friendly couple (hosts) who made us feel very welcome. Very clean comfortable accommodation with brilliant views and such soft towels! Great spot. We stayed after finishing the Queen charlotte track. We were just sad we booked only one night as would have loved to have stayed longer. We definitely plan to return and stay for more days next time. We loved the continental breakfast and coffee in the morning. It was very tasty. Great stay and highly recommend!!
