Bamboo Tiger Blenheim

We went to Bamboo Tiger to celebrate a Hen's Party. Stunning beautiful bar. 10 of us arrived around 21.15h on a Wednesday. We had call few weeks prior to book and let Them know we were Coming. Upon arrival We were greeted outside by grumpy manager (?) , giving us a warning That we are only allowed to have 1 drink as They wanted to Close. Waiter was equally unhappy about our arrival. I must say the cocktails were delicious and beautifully presented. The manager(?) kept walking around us and eying all of us -top to bottom-. We felt not welcomed and treated rudly by this manager (?) and waiter that didn't want to be there. At $20 per cocktail, I would have expected at least a smile. The music choice was Ok, but too quiet for us to keep the celebrating Spirit. Luckily we went afterwards to the YARD bar and we were greated by a fabulous American waitress That not only allowed us to be There longer than expected time (on a Wednesday night), but also put music up for us, made also fabulous drinks, unlimited gasess of water, great conversation and welcoming atmosphere.

This place is such a gem - we had a fantastic night with amazing cocktails ($14.50 for Happy Hour!) which were beautifully presented, fried chicken to die for and impeccable service. We all work in hospitality and this was a much needed end of season team get together so we know how hard you all work and recognise when something is done well. A Well deserved five stars from all of us - thank you so much - Whitehaven Cellar Door Team :)
