Simply put, Liz has helped me get to where I am today. I worked closely with Liz when I was promoted to an Assistant Manager of a very busy and large operations team where time was of the essence! Moving into this new role was quiet daunting as this was my first leadership role and at the same time the team were going through a vast amount of change. She taught me how to tackle the hard conversations with staff members and customers and how to prioritise juggling all those balls in the air. She was able to change my thinking in subtle ways without me knowing to get the best out of me to push that envelope a tad further when it came to running the team. She taught me the importance of networking and most importantly reminding myself of the wins. She gave me the nudge to take part in a company leadership programme where 14 participants were selected and I was the youngest amongst my peers. Without her providing me with the skills to believe in myself I wouldnt have had the opportunity to put myself out there amongst senior leaders. Liz has now provided me with a set of tools to take with me throughout my career and has prepared me for success. One of the learnings she gave me was having a level of confidence to be able to run supervision meetings with high valued clients. What I truly value from her is making me feel like I was not just another widget in the process !
